Yes, Ferti Grind is completely safe to use around pets and children. It is an organic fertiliser that does not contain any harmful chemicals.

  • While Ferti Grind is designed for indoor plants, it can also be used for outdoor plants. However, it is important to note that it may break down more quickly in outdoor environments.
  • We recommend applying Ferti Grind every two months for best results. This allows the fertiliser to slowly release nutrients and biologically diversify the soil.
  • Yes, Ferti Grind can be used for all types of indoor plants, including succulents, ferns, and orchids.

How to Use

Puck Pellets are easy to apply and even easier to portion. Add Puck Pellets to Pots & Planters every 2 months or combine with soil when potting.

Mixing With Soil:
Use our ‘Bottle Cap Measuring Device’ to hold a perfect 19 gram Table Spoon.


Pots Under 1 Litre combine 1⁄2 Tbsp Lid, Pots 1 Litre – 5 Litres 1 Tbsp Lid, Pots 5 Litres – 10
Litres 2 Tbsp Lids, 10 Litres – 20 Litres 3 Tbsp Lids, 20 Litres and Up 4 Tbsp Lids.

Top Dressing Soil:
Use our ‘Bottle Cap Measuring Device’ to hold a perfect 19 gram Table Spoon.

Step 1. Fill bottle caps inner portion lid level. 1⁄2 Tbsp lid for Extra Small plants, 1 Tbsp lid for
Small plants, 2 Tbsp lids for Large plants, 3 Tbsp lids for Extra Large plants. Scatter pellets
over topsoil away from the plant’s base.

Step 2. Use bottle cap or spoon to loosen soil and press pellets into topsoil.

Step 3. Thoroughly water your plants to assure all pellets are drenched and begin to release
nutrients.

Step 4. Over 2 months the pellets will break down to nourish and biologically diversify your
plant’s soil ready to re-apply.

  • We do not recommend using Ferti Grind with other fertilisers. It is a complete fertiliser on its own and can provide all the necessary nutrients for your plants.
  • A 700g bottle of Ferti Grind can last up to 8 months, depending on how frequently you apply it and how many plants you have.
  • Yes, Fert Grind is Environmentally friendly. The heart of our operation is founded on a green future of environmental sustainability. We utilise recycled coffee ground waste in our product to reduce global C02 emissions. We donate 1% of our Gross Sales to 1% for the Planet to support Planet Arks environmental initiatives enhancing ours. We use 100% Recyclable PET packaging that makes a great plant pot when empty so please recycle.We help every Ferti Grind supporter offset their carbon footprint in a passive way.
  • No, Ferti Grind does not have a strong odour. It is odourless and will not affect the scent of your home.

Puck Pellets are a bio-active fertiliser made primarily from 50% recycled and composted coffee grounds, composted chicken manure, and a blend of organic plant stimulants to ensure impressive plant health and growth.
Don’t panic; it’s organic! Ferti Grind products are unlikely to be harmful to pets under normal circumstances, and it is the purchaser/owner’s responsibility to prevent pets from consuming them. Store out of reach of your companion animals. Through the composting process, we diminish the remaining caffeine content in waste grounds to low trace levels. Please see section 14 of our Terms & Conditions.
Yes, Ferti Grind products are safe to use on all indoor and outdoor plant varieties but are scientifically formulated for indoor types.
Puck Pellets break down in 2 to 2.5 months, ready for re-application every 2 months.
Typically, we advise against using multiple different fertilisers on your plants at the same time to avoid over-fertilising. Ferti Grind products alone should do a sensational job.
1x 700g vessel of Puck Pellets will last 10-20 plants for 6 months or more, depending on pot diameters.
Puck Pellets are a bioactive fertiliser, meaning although highly nutritious to plants, they still have a minor scent within a day. To mitigate this, when top dressing soil, press into the soil approximately 1cm, partially covering, and water in well.

Store upright, out of reach of pets and children. Keep in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight.

Don’t be alarmed! This is saprophytic fungi; the microorganisms are breaking down the pellets and diversifying your plant’s soil. With over 240 beneficial microbes in our product, they are doing their job. Press into the soil by 1cm and cover pellets with a little soil; it’ll only make them work better!
Yes, we do! Provided the product has been unused and the tamper seal is intact. Unfortunately, we do not cover the cost of shipping to return the product.

Being a bioactive product, it is paramount to keep your container in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Furthering our environmental efforts, we also use 100% recyclable mailing packaging and carbon-neutral parcel delivery, fostering a greener future for all. Orders are hand-packed in our Adelaide Hills facility, and we aim to dispatch them within 2-4 business days.

What is the shelf life of your fertiliser? Our products can last up to 5 years; however, being a bio-active fertiliser, it can lose potency over time.
Puck Pellets, when top-dressed on top of a granular barrier, will break down at a much slower rate than in soil. For the most effective nutrient delivery, bury Puck Pellets under any granular barrier.
